Is David Deangelo a scam? Is Double Your Dating a scam?
Well, my first response is to say no, as he does provide an excellent service to men. He actually gives us plenty of useful data on how to meet women.
Although, from the point of view of presenting a workable system his personal materials are certainly a marketing scam. "Cocky and Funny" his hallmark is not the most useful and great data out there. His rank as number one in terms of popularity has to be somewhat of a marketing scam since the workability of his materials do not simply justify it. Dating To Relating and Mr. L. Rx, the number two website by Alexa grading, offers a much more workable system.
David Deangelo's greatest materials with the most useful knowledge and data is his dating guru interviews in which he converses with many different dating gurus. Notably, however, his greatest materials are materials that are not his theory.
Whether David is a marketing swindle or not, still his materials are helpful and should be incorporated in your library if you are a dedicated seeker of understanding women. I Give him 6 on the scam-o-meter. (1=scam, 10=not.)

Ross Jeffries was one of the creators of the dating tips community for men on the internet, but I think he has become outdated and compared to writers such as Mr. L. Rx, David Deangelo, and Mystery his materials are less effective overall. A few of his materials and techniques work, but some are debateable, and some have the appearance of a complete sham.
I think that the general problem with Ross's work is that it is just workable for only a few select types of guys -- (boys who have low self esteem for illustrative purposes might appreciate his work) and for some select personality kinds of women (like gamers and manipulating women). It is not going to work on all women. So to the level he represents this is how you deal with women, in general - his techniques are a swindle.
Overall there is some workability but not a lot. Not suitable for everybody.
So we will give him a four on the scam-o-meter.
